Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I started DJing at age 14 at my friends partys, playing every dance record I could get my hands on. At age 15 I felt in love with house music when I got my first house record: "Welcome to the factory" by Angel Moraes, along with the early Murk Boys sound. At the same time I got strongly influenced by the original Rave sound of the early 90's as long as with the EBM of Front 242.
I was hooked by that early electronica that I still discover today, specially the detoit techno.
At age 17 I got involved with Club Rayo, a DJs collective playing mostly house and trully deep house, that took us to play to some great places like the house bar or Pacha Buenos Aires.
At age 19 I met Salvador Reynoso and Dj FedX, two great DJs more involved with techno and heavy house sound, so I decided to move on "into the dark side". I always loved techno as I love Sade and Kerri Chandler, what can I say? We played some heavy gigs and DJ demonstrations in several cities in Argentina, doing "little" raves of 1000 people a night, organised the very same day by spreading the word with our friends at the radios.
Finally I moved to Quebec City (Canada) in 2006, DJ FedX moved to Barcelona (where he keeps playing great music, check his myspace!) and Salvador became producer of the live D&B band "Intima", a great instrumental Trip Hop band that delivers an amazing live act.
Stablished in Quebec City, I keep on listening and collecting great music (soulful and heavy house mostly) to share with my public and looking forward to play at different gigs for different publics (from deep house to heavy techno). Feel free to contact me jordanelopez@hotmail.com. Cheers!
